Best of TikTok: Brand & Creator Collabs
We love to see UGC and influencer content, but so many brands are wasting their money. It can be really hard to navigate return on influencer and UGC content, but you at least want to get solid creative out of the partnership. Especially for TikTok and Reels, the content needs to feel organic to the channel and feel like it was created in an authentic way to the creator.
Here are a few examples that we currently love:
Why We Love it: This creator is known for his comedy skits and this video clearly feels like an ad but keeps you intrigued. AirUp allowed the creator to take the reigns when it came to execution and this ad feels very natural to the creators page and even
Francesca Stugot x Culture Pop
Why We Love it: You may have seen “Francesca Stunt” pop up on your FYP. Culture Pop took notice and took advantage of the scheme. They not only have this video but a few others on the creators page and brand page showing the POVs of the call. It’s definitely a win-win when you can create more content around one collab video.
Why We Love it: If you are a millennial, you know the dream mousse was a BIG deal when it came out - a staple. While Maybelline is looking to build promotion around this product again, it was clear the nostalgia factor would work. This creator has been blowing up and was a great find/deal for the brand.
Why We Love it: I have seen a few videos on my FYP like this and had NO idea they were ads. Not sure that is the best thing, but this one caught my attention and I finally read the caption - it makes more sense now that this is promoting the noise cancelling features on Bose headphones. This content feels super natural to TikTok’s platform and can be duplicated as a “challenge” for others to partake in.
Did you notice all of these videos have something in common? Comedy! Consumers are hyper aware of ads and unless the creator has spoken about the brand organically before, it can feel really odd to see these deals come up and not feel natural. That is why the comedy approach is so popular.
