Holiday Prep 101

It’s honestly never too early to start prepping your brand for the holidays. From social media posts, influencers, sales, content campaigns, and paid ads there is a lot to cover - and for most brands this is GAME TIME (Most US consumers plan to spend between $800 and $1500 during the holiday season) - your biggest sales spike of the year.

When is is time to start your posts? Well 40% of shoppers start their Christmas shopping before the end of October. So early October may be best - you don’t have to go full holly-jolly mode, but making sure people are seeing your brand show up is key.

Now, how can you stand out this holiday season? Here are a few things to think about:

  • Your Offer/Promotions

    • Does your brand do sales? Maybe a free gift with purchase?

  • The Story & Selling Point

    • This is key - what new messaging and will you introduce this holiday season that will capture new customers?

  • Brand Partnerships

    • From doing giveaways with other brands (think 12 Days of Christmas) or more curated partnerships.

  • Influencers

    • What a better time to work with influencers than the holidays? Especially those that focus on gift guides.

  • Paid Ads

    • Typically we see all of our brands increase ad spend during the holidays - the earlier the better as CPC will increase and competition rises the later in the season.

  • New Placements + IRL Opportunities

    • The holidays are a great time to explore new ad channels and show up IRL - a lot of people still do their holiday shopping in person and working with stores and markets can be a unique way to show up.

  • Organic Channels (Email, Social, etc.)

    • This may be obvious, but this Is prime time to increase your content through your owned channels like social and email.
