Building Littlefoot Matcha: Week Two

Written by: Anna Sullivan

WEEK TWO TASKS

  • Getting Started on a Website

    • We have our Shopify website service here, but I opted for a Custom Service Proposal again. For my original request I was quoted $5,000, but that was out of budget, so I was able to narrow down some design needs and pages and landed at $3,000 for:

      • Home Page

      • About Page

      • Product Page

      • Contact Page

    • Here is my design references:

  • Getting a Quote for a Photoshoot

    • I don’t have my products yet, but wanted to go ahead and get a quote for the photoshoot as well as get on the calendar for our photographer. We have our Brand Photography service here, but I opted for a Custom Service Proposal again. For my original request I was quoted $5,500, but that was out of budget, so I was able to narrow down some design needs and pages and landed at $3,000 for:

      • 2 Videos

      • 1 GIF

      • 5 Images

      • Including a hand model

  • Here is my original request deck that I built:

  • Insert Card

    • I wanted to go ahead and get all the design items needed for my packages to go out handled. The products will arrive in a few weeks, but in the meantime I needed:

      • Branded Stickers

      • Insert Card

      • Stickers for the Matcha Tins

      • Packaging Tape

    • I ended up designing all of the above on my own (other than the inserts) and got them all made/printed with Sticker Mule and Moo. For the insert I chatted with our brand designer and she quoted $300 for the design of a front and back square postcard with custom illustrations (that I will also be using on the website). Here is the finished product:

Service Costs:

  • Branding: $1,000

    • Timeline: 3 Weeks

  • Website: $3,000

    • Timeline: 4 Weeks

  • Photoshoot: $3,000

    • Timeline: 2 Weeks

  • Insert Card Design: $300

    • Timeline: 1 Week

Running Total: $7,300
