Meet: Sally Alvarado

I’m a multi-disciplinary designer who specializes in crafting striking visual identities and vibrant imagery for spirited brands. 

What fuels your creativity? 
Everything from a cold breeze to the weird typography on that one sign I always pass by when I drive to the post office. I’m constantly collecting, screenshotting and bookmarking imagery. I’m a visual reference hoarder connoisseur.

What defines a good from a great client for you?
Trust. I’m able to produce my best work when I have the room and freedom to play and explore. 

What defines a terrible client for you?
A client that is excessively rigid and overly prescriptive. 

How would you describe your style?
It’s vibrant, embraces playfulness without reservations, and is grounded in craft and wit. It has also been described as brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, shit on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it.
